A day of Trust and Self-Reflection
BiShan and me indulged in a long conversation today after GP tutorial, at the end of our lessons. My 1st impression of BS-An extreme introvert. Very shy and quiet. She still carries this behaviour towards strangers. But that's natural. For once, I regained confidence. It is her that build up my self-confidence. She brought me to the stage that two friends who know each other only this March has enough trust to tell me her problems. I indeed felt very thankful. I thank her for this trust in me.
I visited the website from EMB introduced by a tutor who do not teach me-www.pathways-to-peace.com. The phrases are profound. Some may find it cliche. I found it special instead. I reflected upon it. And i caught this phrase:
"I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt, but only more love."-Mother Teresa
There is so much more shown in the video. And during GP today, we questioned on the importance of image in today's society. It all comes under mutual love, to be open and honest with what we're doing. But there's no society that does this. Then, we drifted on to mutual love. Mr Tong taught me that if we love the person anyway even when we hate him/her to the core, then that is love. It is indeed profound, and I found the solution for a person I hate. To love him no matter how much i hate him is what love is all about. It is about forgiveness and acceptance. Let me ask you a question, how many times do you think it takes me to hit you back when you hit me? The answer, it all depends on me. The same applies for loving one another.
Love is when no matter how many times the person hits you, you are able to forgive him/her, because you love the person for who he/she is. If you are not able to do so, it is not unconditional love, even if the blood relations are there.
I saw YX's blog. Hope he feels better. Life is sooo much more other than studies. I didn't choose JC just because I want to get into University. It's just a way of securing my future.
All i want to be is a loving piano teacher. Suan Jin said I am more capable than this. I asked him, what does he think I am capable to become? He answered, a businesswoman. That's not what I want. Maybe. If my progress to my 1st priority fails.
Life can't be any simpler. No more. Why? It is the human nature, the ability to strive to compete and stand out among the rest, that plunges us into the unclear big sea. It is the competition and rivalry amongst us that leads to our disaster. 50 years down the road, 100 years, when will the competition die? Never. Never in human life unless an evolution takes place.
I hope I have not bored anyone out reading my blog, for that is what I've reflected today.
The only way to solve this problem is to keep up with the fast pace in society, only to add more consciousness to unconditional love, coz only a different person can stand out and show this love. Only a minority achieved, such as Mother Teresa and Ghandi.
Can anyone in Singapore do so? Hardly. Maybe never. For we are brought up not to think in that way. For if we do that, we are taught for sure that we will have no future in the highly technological Society.
